What is The Small Barrel Subscription?

The Small Barrel Subscription is now available in United States, United Kingdom, and the EU.

Here you’ll find our hand-picked selection of the best Portuguese wines sourced from the most trusted vineyards, which are often small producing wineries. We have curated seasonal boxes of the quality wines that also match seasonal idiosyncrasies. There are 6 bottles in each shipment.

When will the subscription begin?

We launched on 3.10.2023!

How long will it take for delivery?

We ship our subscription wines on the 2nd of the season (Apr 2, Jul 2, Oct 2, Jan 2nd), and it takes approximately 2 week. If you subscribe passed the 2nd of the season, then the next shipment will be shipped the following month.

However, for the first two launches in 2023, we will ship our Wine Subscriptions upon subscription:

• Winter Wine Subscription Shipment: Mar & Apr 2023

• Spring Wine Subscription Shipment: May & Jun 2023

• Summer Wine Subscription Shipment: Begin on Jul 2, and can be shipped on Jul 2, Aug 2, and Sept 2, 2023.

• Fall Wine Subscription Shipment: Begin on Oct 2, and can be shipped on Oct 2, Nov 2, and Dec 2, 2023.

Can I choose the types of wine in each subscription?

Although it is our plan to expand the subscription to cater to all the members’ favorite type of wine (all reds, all whites, only rose, only fortified wines (Port)), we select wines that we deem the best not only in quality but which also match the season’s weather, temperament, celebrations and palate. Therefore, we are currently unable to mix-and-match the wines in the subscription. However, we are working actively on how to create different subscriptions that have an option of choosing the types of wines in the future.

Am I locked into a subscription?

We offer a flexible service so you can skip any season, without limits, and cancel at any time.

Pause, cancel and skip options

The Small Barrel conveniently has a flexible subscription. You have the option to cancel, pause or skip orders.

Canceling - You can cancel your subscription at any time. Please email us.

Pausing - You can pause your subscription at any time, and choose a date that is convenient for you to resume the subscription. 

Skipping - You can skip any order up until 6-7 days before your delivery day.

Do you offer plans for single shipment?

Yes, you are able to opt-in for a single shipment. But we recommend that you are subscribed so that you will be guaranteed a box of curated wine every season.

Returns

All shipments are final. However, if the wines arrive damaged or corked, we will replace them. Please let us know via email, and we will help resolve the issues as quickly as we can.
