When I think of The Small Barrel,

I feel the warmth of the loved ones.

I imagine a Christmas dinner or a friend’s 40th birthday. 

The connection, the laughters, the chaos, the pure joy of being physically, mentally and emotionally close to everyone who truly matters… where the insecurities, doubts, fear, isolation, despair, sadness dissipate as if they never breathed, existed or ever had life.

Portugal feels like that; Sunday dinners are common with the family, who is giving, kind and gave so much “jung” like the Koreans. And the Portuguese wine feels like that; no pretense, no snobbiness, small shops that are owned by generations of families and friends where the quality of the products and service is not tainted by this individualistic, commercialized, and mass produced mentality. It’s not driven by money or success; it’s driven by hard work, passion and family. 

We only want to be a conduit of the two spaces, the small vineyards to your doorstep. Although miles away, the authenticity and human connection stands same and true: Different space, same sentiment. 

These wines were seeded, harvested, selected, squeezed, stored and bottled by people with love, and we hope you will bring them to small gatherings to share with people you love: sharing a glimpse of the humanism and human kindness from thousands of miles away.
